Privacy Statement – the Code of Practice for Sustainable Tourism

Clare County Council is the Data Controller for the information you provide as part of the Code of Practice for Sustainable Tourism. The Council processes personal data in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. When completing the Code, you provide basic personal data (e.g. name and contact details of a representative) and business information (e.g. energy, water consumption data). This information is required to administer and support your participation.

  • Only aggregated and anonymised information will be used for sustainability reporting at network or county level.
  • Your data will be stored securely and accessed only by authorised staff.
  • Data will be retained only for as long as necessary to manage the Code while allowing for longitudinal analysis.
  • You have the right to access, correct, restrict, or request deletion of your personal data
  • The Code of Practice is a voluntary sustainability framework. The information you provide is assessed only for the purposes of administering and verifying the Code. It is not used for any other purpose.
